In 11 career ARCA superspeedway starts since 1989, Wayne has top-10 qualifying runs at Michigan and Atlanta and top finishes of 3rd and 4th at Michigan and 9th at Atlanta. He also led the 1991 Texas race. First race was Metrolina Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina in 1981.
Combining efforts with father Freddie Dellinger, won 17 events in 1987-1988 at Tri-County Speedway in Hudson, North Carolina.
